We bought out flight tickets with Mia 20th of May 2010 from Ebookers. The total cost was 1643,82€; à 821,91€. The route there is actually pretty horrible: we're departing from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport at 7:35 a.m. and arrive to Charles de Gaulle at 9:40. In Paris we have to change terminals, but we have about an hour and 50 minutes to do this so it's probably going to be fine. The flight to Tokyo leaves at 11:30 local time, and we arrive to Tokyo, Narita Airport at about 6:30 local time. So far so good.
BUT THEN.
BUT THEN.
We have to change airports. Blow me.
So we run through the security checks (which are SOMEWHAT STRICTER than in most countries. I mean come on, fingerprints?), get our luggage and then try to quickly find the place where the bus to Haneda (Tokyo, domestic flights) leaves. We have a bit over four hours for this so and we (and hopefully also Ebookers) made out it's enough. From Haneda the plane leaves at 10:50 towards Nagasaki, where we should arrive by 12:40.
The whole journey takes a grand total of 23 hours and 5 minutes. IF the planes are all on time.
The way back to Finland will thankfully be a lot easier, as we travel to Tokyo during our 2 months' travel and we just have to board a plain in Tokyo and switch in Amsterdam.
